You can always count on this multi-talented actress model-producer-host having some new project simmering on the stove, so let’s sneak in her kitchen and get a lil taste of what it is. Let’s see what’s going on with Devyn Ashley!

Don Carlos: Hello, Devyn…always a pleasure to talk you up.

Devyn Ashley: Hello, Don Carlos, great to talk to you as well.

DC: So tell us all about your new project if you would.

DA:  My new project is called “The Secret Plus Girls”. It’s a short film about a group of beautiful Plus Size ladies and their journey from ordinary to extra-ordinary. The film follows their experiences after being recruited by the FBI to save their boss who was abducted by the Mob! It’s a first of a series of films I have planned for this particular group of Plus Size Detectives.

DC: What gave you the idea for the film?

DA:  There are so many examples of female detectives lately and I have always wanted to play that type of strong dynamic character. I’m also a big fan of the Charlie’s Angels’ franchise, so I thought it would be great to put a group of full-figured detectives in some exciting situations and watch them succeed, thus “The Secret Plus Girls” were born!!!

DC: Who are your co-stars?

DA: Plus Size actresses Chevaughn Fruge and Christina Echeverria will play the other two detectives. They are both very talented ladies and the three of us make a very diverse cast.  There are still some roles yet to be cast, but we are waiting until the project is completely funded before moving forward with any additional cast and crew.

DC: I also understand that you’re in the midst of a fundraising campaign for the film as well. How is that going?

DA:  We just started the crowd funding campaign on indiegogo.com. I am really excited about the getting this project off the ground and I’m happy to see the support from the Plus Size community!

DC: If your fans want to contribute to the production, how would they do so?

DA: Anyone can help make “The Secret Plus Girls” - Short film happen!  It’s just a matter of clicking the link here to contribute. Honestly, I am just really thankful for the interest in this project about Plus Size Detectives and I appreciate the support!

As you should be aware by now, the world lost another talented artist and a fine man.

Dwight Myers, aka Heavy D, died this afternoon at age 44. Certainly it was sad when both Andy Rooney and Joe Frazier passed earlier on, but for me personally this was a body blow. I grew up with Heavy D and the Boyz and all the beats they produced. But more than anything else, I remember Hev’s lyrical flow, his solid diction and the diddly-diddly-diddly-dee human beatbox routine that he could lay down with no effort. So it is with a heavy heart that we all observe his passing…and his last tweet inspired me to honor him as best I could in verse:

Don’t think any of us will ever forget this date

For this is when we lost the lover overweight

He joined us last night in sayin goodbye to Smokin Joe

But sadly it was decided today was Hev’s time to go

He gave us so many gifts here in his short tyme

But the most obvious and clarion of them was his rhyme

More bounce to the ounce and somebody for me

His Boyz were definitely in control of their destiny

The loss of Troy made things somber and tough

It was almost to the point where everyone said enough

But there was love to be found and black coffee to drink

Which was enough to bring it all back from the brink

So to all of Hev’s family, colleagues and friends

Saddened by the finality of his Peaceful Journey’s end

Do not have his passing be an occasion so grim and dire

Let us take in his final message to the world and be inspired

Seems like every webmodel and her sister has some kind of wishlist or another going on. For those not in the know, a wishlist is just that; a list of dream items that a model puts together and posts in the hopes that some well-off fan will purchase it for her. Well, ol Don Carlos has decided to put his own wishlist together, but with a twist: mine really doesn’t cost a thing. So take a gander above at what I want the most :D

A lot has been made about Dors Feline’s breast reduction surgery and her subsequent Twitter comments regarding the adult modeling industry. If you feel the need to chime in about it or need to brought up to speed about it, you check it out by going to the Chubby Parade thread about it. As for myself, the above poster is how I choose to remember her…

As you can see from the above poster, October is indeed Breast Cancer Awareness Month and it is something that the Don has always tried to throw his considerable weight behind. So I would encourage everyone reading this to visit The Susan G. Komen For The Cure or The National Breast Cancer Awareness Month organization to make donations, get better educated, or to even share your survival story if applicable. Let’s do our best to stamp out this killer once and for all.

Well, I know it’s been quite a while since I last posted here and I intend to rectify that from now on. As you can see, I have had my hands full but it was as enjoyable a chore as you can ever imagine :)

Another oldie but a goodie…the model in question here is Kourtney 50GG. This may shock you, but she was the winner of the 2006 Fat Forums Best Boobs contest. And speaking of boobs, the pair that was posted last night belong to a model named Syn. And if you don’t know, now you know ninja!

I always did love the contrasting colors that her skin is displaying here, granted that it came about at a painful cost to the model in question. Extra credit to the person who can successfully guess who these burned boobs belong to, btw.

Ah, one of my old school favorites…this lovely lady was known as DDD Vixxen back in the day with her own Yahoo Group. She has since retired from modeling but has left behind quite the legacy of beauty :)
